About Jethro Orion

Jethro Orion’s life carries the imprint of many cultures, beliefs, and turning points, all held together by a steady current of gratitude and quiet curiosity. She grew up in Southeast Asia during the 70s to 80s, in a setting where entrepreneurial effort coexisted with military structure and where the teachings of Theravada Buddhism shaped her view of effort, responsibility, and stillness. These early influences planted seeds that would later grow into a life shaped by quiet questioning and self-directed growth.

Her education began in private Catholic schools where discipline came with care and consistency. From childhood through adolescence, she balanced academic rigor with a growing sense of spiritual awareness. At the age of ten, she discovered meditation and found within it a space that asked for nothing but presence. By fifteen, she was drawn toward Mahayana Buddhism and plant-based living, which widened her understanding of compassion and interconnection. Not long after, she became part of an Evangelical Presbyterian Church community, which added another meaningful perspective to her sense of spiritual trust and belonging. Her academic path crossed borders. She studied Mass Media Communication in Melbourne before returning to Bangkok to complete a degree in English Literature. These years of study helped her see more clearly that life does not separate itself as we often imagine. She came to believe that what looks like distance is often only difference in form.
There were also periods marked by difficulty. Grief, betrayal, and loss brought real change. The death of her first husband became a moment of transformation. It shifted her understanding of time, of relationship, and of what matters enough to be pursued. Through those years, she turned inward again. Meditation became a place of consistency, and her spiritual roots offered quiet strength. Her working life followed a flexible and thoughtful path. She began in real estate and purchased her first home at twenty-one. After her husband passed away, her priorities shifted. She focused on teaching English and spent years balancing that work with responsibilities in the banking sector. In time, education became her full focus. Later, her interest in finance grew stronger. She completed her MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin, bringing together her practical experience and analytical thinking in a way that continues to support her deeper search for clarity and truth. Her spiritual life has continued to evolve across many places including California, Minnesota, Hawaii, and the Pacific Northwest. Each move brought new understanding. She spent time as a Theravada nun, studied Saivam Hinduism, and in 2023 reconnected with what she now calls Creator through the quiet space of meditation. What has remained through every stage is a steady belief that we are each a distinct expression of something beyond measurement, and that the way we show up in our lives carries its own sacred weight. She sees challenge as a way into deeper clarity. Hard experiences do not need to be denied in order to be transformed. In fact, they often become the clearest invitations to remember what matters. Jethro sees life as an unfolding relationship with the world, with others, and with the unseen source that gives rise to everything. This relationship, to her, is the source of real meaning. Her guiding belief is simple. When you commit to your own growth, you naturally support the growth of others. She carries this into every part of her work. Through writing, teaching, and quiet reflection, she returns to the same knowing again and again. Every path matters when walked with honesty. Every life holds meaning when lived with care.

As of 2024, she actively practices ten principles of modern spirituality that guide her daily life:

The Divine Presence in All

The Power of Thought and Creation

Remembering Who I Am

Love as the Ultimate Truth

The Diversity of Spiritual Paths

The Interconnectedness of All Beings

Trusting Inner Guidance

Focusing on the Present Moment

Welcoming Change

Living with Purpose

Through these practices, she continues to explore and deepen her understanding of herself and the world, pursuing a life of continuous growth and spiritual discovery.
